EDINBURGH, Scotland. – Aviagen® Kft takes pride in recognizing Ross® 308 broiler producers who continue to push the boundaries of performance, efficiency, and welfare – demonstrating what’s possible when genetics and good management come together. The team recently hosted an award event in Budapest, Hungary, to welcome new members to the Ross 420 Club, underscoring their ongoing commitment to Breeding Customer Success by encouraging and rewarding excellence.
Recognizing achievement across the region
Held every second year, the recent event brought together 76 guests from across Hungary. A total of 38 broiler producers were recognized for flock results achieved in 2023 and 2024. Collectively, their farms raised more than 18 million broilers, with 144 flocks exceeding a European Performance Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 420.
Special recognition went to Ferenc Bordás, who achieved the top EPEF scores in both flock size categories: 495 in the category of more than 100,000 birds and 494 with fewer than 100,000.
“We are proud of these results, which ranked us highest among domestic broiler producers for 2023-2024,” said Ferenc Bordás. “We focus on creating the best possible environment and feed for our birds, and continue to see steady improvement. Success comes from good-quality chicks, the right nutrition, and a committed farm team – and we work hard to provide the best.”
Celebrating teamwork and long-term progress
Aviagen Kft General Manager Balázs Takács, Sales Manager Krisztina Németh, Regional Technical Manager Dejan Bosanac, and Marketing Assistant Barbara Bóka welcomed the attendees and congratulated the winners. During the event, Dejan shared insights on broiler performance across Eastern Europe.
