Aviagen “Breeds Success Together” with Argentina Poultry Sector

Collaborative Arbor Acres and Ross workshops highlight best practices in ventilation, broiler management and lighting technology

CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® recently hosted two training workshops in Argentina, bringing together poultry industry specialists to share best practices in ventilation, broiler management and lighting technology. The events were designed to provide producers with practical knowledge and expert insight to optimize performance at every stage of broiler production.

Aviagen Arbor Acres and Las Camelias workshops – Colón, Entre Ríos

Workshops on Feb. 11 and 12 at Las Camelias in Colón, Entre Ríos, featured a mix of theoretical and practical training to bring Arbor Acres® producers the latest in broiler house ventilation and early-stage management. The Aviagen South America Excluding Brazil (SAEB) service team—Marcus Briganó, Santiago Lovera, Rodrigo Damen, Osvaldo Bolinaga and Jairo Agostini—led thought-provoking discussions with participants.

Brigano provided an in-depth look at ventilation principles, helping farm managers and supervisors ensure optimal airflow across all production stages. Meanwhile, Lovera focused on critical control points to maximize early broiler performance, setting the stage for healthier flocks and improved efficiency.

Aviagen also welcomed Cristabel Huerta from HATO Agricultural Lighting, who introduced the latest innovations in broiler house lighting, demonstrating how modern technology can support bird welfare and performance.

Aviagen Ross and Calisa event – Paraná, Entre Ríos

Sessions on Feb. 13 and 14 at the Calisa facility in Paraná, Entre Ríos offered Ross® poultry producers a balance of classroom theory with hands-on training. The event welcomed 16 poultry companies, including Calisa, Bonin, Pollo de Oro, Carnave, Noelma, Nutrisur, Santa Isabel, Indavisa, Pollolin, Lizman, Miralejos, Pontevedra, Fadel, Cyb, Stertz and U.A. Avellaneda.

Ross producers at workshopThe Aviagen SAEB team—alongside Aviagen Argentina’s Luis Mac Goey, sales manager, and Alejandro Golin, general director —highlighted the importance of optimized ventilation and early-stage broiler care.

Brigano pointed out practical approaches to maintaining consistent ventilation across different production conditions, while Lovera focused on key management factors that drive strong early broiler development.

Additionally, Huerta from HATO Agricultural Lighting once again shared cutting-edge lighting solutions, demonstrating how light quality and intensity impact broiler growth and welfare.

Pablo Marso from Las Camelias concluded with valuable insight into reused litter treatments, a main factor in maintaining optimal flock conditions.

These workshops were made possible through strong industry collaboration, with Calisa playing a crucial role in hosting the event.
