Aviagen Connects with Costa Rican Poultry Sector at Livestock Congress

During the congress, the Aviagen Latin America team shared practical poultry management insight tailored to the needs of chicken producers across Costa Rica.

Incubation Specialist Guillermo Reyes presented on “The Effect of the Hatchery on Chick Quality,” highlighting the importance of hatchery management for chick welfare, livability and long-term flock performance.

“The hatchery plays a key part in ensuring successful outcomes for chick welfare and performance, and careful management at this stage is essential for livability and disease resistance, helping alleviate risks while supporting production efficiency and economic sustainability,” explained Reyes.
