CAMPINAS, Brazil –  Aviagen® was pleased to welcome customers and poultry professionals to its stand at the XXII FENAVI Congress, held Sept. 1-3 at the Centro de Eventos Valle del Pacífico in Cali, Colombia.

The three-day gathering offered a valuable opportunity to connect with poultry producers and some of Latin America's leading industry experts, exchange knowledge and ideas, discuss new developments and challenges, and gain insight into the evolving needs of the region's poultry industry.

Ross® 308 AP was an important focus at the Aviagen stand. Developed for the needs of Latin American poultry production, the breed combines reproductive performance with broiler efficiency, robustness, livability and meat yield.

Through balanced breeding, these characteristics are advanced alongside bird health and welfare. Feed efficiency also supports sustainability by optimizing feed use, thereby requiring fewer natural resources to produce feed for chicken production.

“FENAVI gave us valuable time face-to-face with customers and colleagues from throughout the poultry industry,” said Andrés Parra, Sales and Technical Services Manager for Aviagen Colombia. “Hearing their experiences, priorities and challenges gives us a deeper understanding of what matters to producers in the region. That closeness to our poultry producers reflects Breeding Success Together and helps guide how we can best serve them.”

As a nutritious, affordable and widely enjoyed source of animal protein, chicken has an important role in feeding families throughout Latin America and around the world.

“We all bring different experiences and perspectives, but we share the goal of caring for our birds, producing food responsibly and helping provide nutritious chicken for people throughout Latin America and beyond,” said Diego Baena, general manager for Aviagen Colombia. “We thank the customers, poultry professionals and industry experts who visited our stand and spent time with us during the Congress and look forward to future opportunities to come together,” added.
