Amado will replace Mário Sérgio Assayag as he assumes a new role in the global veterinary team

CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen^® Latin America is proud to announce the appointment of Jorge Amado as its new Regional Technical Manager, effective March 1. Amado joined Aviagen in 2012 as a Technical Services Manager, and since 2018, has fulfilled the role of Head of Technical Services for Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean (CAME), providing Ross^® customers in the region with exceptional service.

Amado will succeed Mário Sérgio Assayag, who is transitioning to a role within the Global Veterinary Team in March. While continuing his duties as CAME Head of Technical Services, Amado will now focus on strengthening customer success across the entire Latin American region. He will report indirectly to Ivan Lauandos, President of Aviagen Latin America, regarding bird performance.

As Regional Technical Manager, Amado will collaborate closely with Customer Service and Sales Heads in all Latin American subregions, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, CAME and South America Excluding Brazil (SAEB).

Distinguished career, commitment to excellence

Amado brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his expanded role. Originally from Colombia, Amado holds a degree in Veterinary Science from the National University of Colombia, with a minor in Business Administration. With over 30 years of experience in the poultry industry, spanning grandparent stock, parent stock, incubation, and broiler management, he brings a deep understanding of the sector to his new role.

Before joining Aviagen, Amado served as Technical Service Manager for a distributor of Ross birds in Colombia and Ecuador, further enhancing his expertise and industry knowledge.
