Aviagen Latin America Supports Sindiavipar Workshop 2022

CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America was proud to be a gold sponsor of the Sindiavipar Workshop, which was organized by the Paraná State Poultry Industry Association on Nov. 23 and 24. Sindiavipar works for the growth and sustainability of poultry farming in Paraná State, Brazil, which is also home to an Aviagen hatchery in Carambei.

Since 2002, Paraná has been the leading state in poultry production in Brazil – the world’s second largest poultry meat producer. The development of modern, innovative and sustainable agriculture was the main theme of this year’s Sindiavipar workshop.

On Nov. 23, Aviagen Latin America’s Technical Support Manager Mário Sérgio Assayag led a discussion on the “implications of the infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) 2 variant or genotype I 23 in Parana State and experiences from Europe and the Middle East.”

To continue the networking and idea sharing, Aviagen Latin America hosted a lunch for 500 workshop guests, also on Nov. 23.

The topic of conversation for Aviagen and its team of experts was “Ross® 308 AP: eye on results,” emphasizing the significant breeder and broiler Ross performance heights the team is seeing in Brazil and throughout Latin America. They also discussed Aviagen’s commitment to “Breeding for Welfare and Sustainability,” And how this breeding goal promotes bird health, efficiency and performance, which in turn contributes to the businesses of poultry producers and the sustainability of the planet.
