CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America recently reinforced its commitment to the Bolivian poultry industry at Seminario Alimenta, held Oct. 9–10 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Organized by Aviagen’s Ross® customer Avícola Sofía, the gathering brought together professionals and companies from the poultry, cattle and swine sectors.
As a Platinum Sponsor, Aviagen welcomed producers to its booth to exchange ideas, understand their priorities and highlight solutions that advance poultry production in the country.
During the poultry panel, Marcus Briganó, Technical Services Manager for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean (CAME) and South America Excluding Brazil (SAEB), offered his insight into “Litter and Lighting Management in Broilers.” He outlined how proper reuse and treatment of litter can reduce health risks and create a better environment for birds, while well-planned lighting encourages feed intake, growth and feed efficiency.
“When litter is well managed and lighting carefully planned, we create a healthier environment that directly improves broiler welfare and performance. These practices, applied consistently, lead to stronger production results,” said Briganó.
Dedicated to Bolivian poultry
“Bolivia is a growing market and a strategic part of the future of poultry in South America. Supporting another edition of Seminario Alimenta was a privilege. Events like this strengthen the production chain and reflect our commitment to ‘Breeding Success Together’ with Bolivian producers, sharing proven genetics and dependable support,” said Jairo Agostini, commercial manager for Aviagen SAEB.
