Gujão Alimentos, Granja da Serra, São Salvador Alimentos and Guaraves are awarded for outstanding egg and chick production per hen housed

CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen^® celebrated the achievements of poultry producers from Brazil’s Central-West, North and Northeast regions during this year’s Ross^® 308 AP Breeder Awards. The awards highlight customers whose skilled flock management, attention to animal welfare and teamwork have contributed to outstanding breeder performance.

Gujão Alimentos, Granja da Serra, São Salvador Alimentos and Guaraves earned places in the total eggs per hen housed and total chicks per hen housed categories.

Luiz Mansano, Aviagen Commercial Manager for Brazil, reflected on what the awards mean for Aviagen and its customers. “The close relationships we have built with customers are reflected in what we see in the field,” said Mansano. “When Ross genetics are combined with the care and attention that flock teams bring every day, they can bring out the best in the breed. These awards give us an opportunity to celebrate the people who make that possible.”

Spotlighting breeder teams across Brazil

The Ross 308 AP Breeder Awards are held annually across three regional categories—Central-West/North/Northeast, Southeast and South—as well as at the national level. In 2026, the awards are honoring 13 customers from different regions of Brazil.

Award rankings are based on breeder flocks completed through 2025. Recipients receive commemorative plaques, handcrafted rooster sculptures representing regional and/or national awards, and a special gift.

Rodrigo Tedesco, Aviagen Technical Services Manager for Brazil, said this year’s awards also coincide with an important milestone for the Ross 308 AP in Brazil: “Ross 308 AP marks 15 years in the Brazilian market, and the results we are seeing in the Central-West, North and Northeast demonstrate how the breed performs under a variety of climatic conditions. It is rewarding to see customers bringing out the breed’s potential through careful management and attention to their flocks.”
