HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Aviagen^® North America is pleased to announce that Paulo R.O. Carneiro has joined the team as the new Technical Manager for customers in the Ontario Province of Canada. Reporting to Canadian Regional Business Manager Matt Klassen, Carneiro will support poultry producers across the region, helping them maximize the performance, health, and welfare of their Ross^® birds.

A Strong Background in Poultry Health and Management

Carneiro brings extensive experience in poultry health, sales, and data-driven optimization to his new role. Most recently, he served as a Poultry Specialist at Steinbach Hatchery, where he was instrumental in developing innovative solutions such as a mobile app to track hatches and flock status.

Prior to that, Carneiro worked in poultry sales at Trouw Nutrition and as a Breeder and Hatchery Analyst at Maple Leaf Foods, where he developed predictive models to enhance production efficiency. His background also includes graduate-level research in poultry nutrition and management, earning two master’s degrees in Animal Science – one from the University of Alberta and another from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil.

A multilingual professional in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Carneiro brings a global perspective to the Canadian poultry industry. His expertise in data analysis, vaccination strategies, and precision feeding aligns with Aviagen’s commitment to supporting producers with the best technical knowledge and innovation.
